The Book
Always Chase the Light is a mother’s story of walking through fear and grief while choosing faith and hope. Jennifer Geen shares her family’s journey to show how light can be found and hope created even in life’s hardest seasons.
															Always Chase the Light
Always Chase the Light is the real-life story of a mother leaning into the grief, uncertainty and shock of finding out her two-year-old son has aggressive liver cancer. Follow the journey of Ollie, as told by his mother, living day to day in the children’s oncology ward at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. For the author, the experience also reveals repressed childhood memories of the grief associated with her mother’s cancer diagnosis and death.
Always Chase the Light is a full-circle life journey in resilience and regeneration of the human spirit. How leaning into faith, hope, love, nature and community provides healing powers. Readers will leave with a unique perspective and curiosity in seeking to find their own light and joy even in life’s most difficult seasons.

Excerpts:
“And when we were going through Ollie’s ordeal I asked “why” again. As if this time, I would have an answer. There are no answers to these things. They just are. Lean into all of it. The pain, the sorrow, the grief, the anxiety, and the lessons learned in the space between. “
“I urge you to take the time you are given on this earth to appreciate all that is and all that can be in your life.”
